| Selma Blair is on Set | So, here's Selma Blair in a bikini on the set of Kath and Kim. I have no idea what this show is supposed to be about, but if I had to guess, I'd say it has something to do with wiping out erections.

I had no idea that when former Senator John Edwards invited me to come along on his plane back in December of 2006 that I would have had a front-row seat to a sex scandal. John Edwards today admitted he had an affair with Rielle Hunter back in 2006.
I, along with a few other journalists I had a front-row seat and have some of the only photos of Hunter.
See, stuff like this always seems to happen to “other people.” People you don’t know. Never have met. Don’t care about.
In this case, though, my wife, Maryam, interviewed Elizabeth Edwards. I interviewed John and sat next to Hunter. All while not having any clue about the secret they were all keeping.
It reminds me that as a blogger/journalist I have to always capture images, not knowing what the real story actually will turn out being. And always keep looking beyond what I was being presented.
The photo above is Hunter sitting next to Edwards. I never saw them behave inappropriately in front of me and Edwards let me hang out with him nearly around the clock.
There are lots of stories on Google News. Personally, my thoughts go out to everyone involved.
Here’s all my photos of the trip with John Edwards where he announced he was running for President of the United States. Unfortunately the videos I shot are gone, PodTech pulled them down and I don’t have the copyright on those, so can’t repost them.
Here’s my photo of Hunter:

| Tasks in the cloud: VITO Technology's Task2Gather | Filed under: Software Another big PDA developer has made the jump to iPhone, with longtime Windows Mobile developer VITO Technology announcing their first product for the Apple platform -- Task2Gather.
It's a task manager with a difference. Task2Gather stores all of your tasks "in the cloud", where they're not only accessible from your iPhone, but also from any web browser. The VITO Technology folks describe this functionality by saying that your wife can update your shopping list while you're at the store.
An upcoming paid subscription version of the application will provide reports, file attachments, advanced security, and more. For project teams, this would have some real utility for sharing and assigning tasks, and making project documents available on the run. Task2Gather is available in the App Store now (click opens iTunes) for $4.99.
If any of our readers have already tried Task2Gather, leave us a note in the comments to tell us about your experience.Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

| Verizon tops T-Mobile in J.D. Power customer care survey, again | Filed under: Alltel, Sprint, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, Misc T-Mobile may have once been able to bank on J.D. Power's customer care survey to bolster its bag of bragging rights, but it looks like that's no longer the case, as Verizon has now finally edged it out, following a similar shift in J.D. Power's retail sales satisfaction survey last year. Not only that, T-Mobile actually fell to third place, behind Verizon's merger-mate Alltel. There isn't much of a spread between the top-ranked companies, however, with Verizon snagging a score of 103, Alltel scoring 102, and T-Mobile garnering a respectable 100. Only Sprint Nextel, which got a lowly 79, scored below the industry average. Among the other tidbits to be found in the survey, which included more than 11,000 respondents, is the fact that customers spent an average of 4.4 minutes on hold with customer service, a jump of 34% from the previous survey, while 49% of all wireless customers said they called in for help at least once, a minor uptick from the 47% reported last time around. That, J.D. Power says, is at least partly due to the "increasingly complex" wireless phones and services available nowadays.Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

At first glance, it already looks quite impressive with its slender 9.9mm body, but what truly sets this new iteration of the E200 apart from the rest is the bio-plastic material used to create its outer body. It contains natural plant-based material extracted from plants. The packaging as well will feature a non-coated recycled paper box that’ll complement the environment-friendly theme of the E200 Eco. It was unveiled at the OR@S (Olympic Rendezvous @ Samsung) in Beijing.

Two other eco-friendly phones were also showcased at the event: the W510 and the F268. The F268, for its part, is the first BFR/PVC free mobile phone with its included charger and headset touting the same recognition. Furthermore, it also features an alarm that’ll notify users that the phone is fully charged so they can unplug and disconnect the charger accordingly.

This new approach to mobile phone production will not end with these models as Samsung plans to carry the bio-plastic technology in future endeavors. The 1-ton of bio-plastic used in the production of the E200 Eco is able to reduce 2.16-ton of CO2 compared with Polycarbonate produced from petroleum. Safe to say that it is definitely good for the environment. Samsung, in collabotation with Cheil Industries, has been striving to develop more renewable and eco-friendly materials; and it looks like they have a winner in their hands right now.
With this initiative by Samsung, they are definitely setting a new standard by which other mobile phone manufacturers should follow. This is not only for the sake of doing good business, but more importantly, for the future of our planet as well.
I wonder how this latest development will affect Samsung’s current standing in Greenpeace’s infamous Guide to Greener Electronics?

| People Gave Chrome A Shot, But They're Going Back To Their Original Browser | As we had mentioned, the original numbers that were coming out about people switching to Google's Chrome browser seemed a little difficult to believe. And, in fact, it appears they were. New reports are suggesting that while a bunch of folks may have kicked the tires on Chrome, the shine came off pretty quickly, and plenty of people have simply gone back to their original browsers. This really shouldn't be a surprise. While some people found Chrome to be clean and relatively fast, it didn't really offer much beyond that. That doesn't mean that it won't eventually make inroads into the market, but simply throwing up yet another browser with the Google brand on it isn't enough to convince people to switch. It needs to actually offer a significant and noticeable difference -- and so far that hasn't happened.
