It seems like THQ has whipped up yet another humorous trailer showing off more of the versatile, sandbox-style gameplay to their upcoming third person action title, Saints Row 2. This time, the focus is on some of wacky fun you can have playing the game in co-op mode.
Some unlikely alliances can and will be formed in the sequel to the 2006 hit title for the Xbox 360. If you don't believe us, just take a look at some of the unlikely team ups the trailer features (do the Republican and Democrat characters look familiar or what?).
Saints Row 2 is set to be released this October 14 and will be available on the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC. Anyway, enjoy the video!

Bellevue-based UIEvolution, which develops a mobile content platform, said today it raised a first round of funding with Intel (NSDQ: INTC) Capital leading the round, with Japan's Itochu and UIE founder Satoshi Nakajima also participating. The round in essence restarts the eight-year-old company as an independent entity, having previously been a division of Japan-based Square Enix, after it purchased UIEvolution for $58 million in 2004. The round raised was for a total of $5 million, reports The Seattle Times. The money will go towards building its presence in the U.S. and Japan. Also with the funding, the company will expand into markets beyond mobile and the PC to IPTV and automobiles. Release.

Okay, so get this: You can have a baby at 16, but if you pose for pictures at 17 in which you're seen breast-feeding, that's considered child pornography. Yeah, I don't get it either, but that's the issue at...

As a journalist and frequent attendee of events, I know of 6 friends who are getting married on this day. I also know of many technology product launches as well - companies here in Asia have planned the launch date months in advance for this date (i.e. the Samsung Omnia is launching in the PH). Add a few restaurant openings, press conferences and yes, parties and you have one full day of events, events, events. Ask around. You’ll be surprised.
Makes me wonder why the iPhone 3G is not launching today, but on the 24th as this was a truly Asian release.
All the Vince Young mental evaluations made by arm-chair therapists were premature; can't a guy just watch a game at a friend's house? Mike Freeman says it's not the only premature assessment of Young -- so was his anointment to greatness.
In an alligator-eat-duck world, an unlikely friendship develops between Bill the duck and Aldo the alligator - two creatures on opposite ends of the food chain. This second series offers more interesting adventures, and lots of fun.

Alright, everyone go quit your jobs and pick up second (and third) batteries for your handsets: YouTube Mobile has gone live.
As previously reported, YouTube was apparently merely biding its time while Verizon’s exclusivity deal ran its course before flipping the switch, so now we can all enjoy several hundred editor’s picks — the supposed cream of the YouTube crop — in mobile-friendly 3GP format (though word has it they’re eventually planning a full mobile implementation).
Initial testing on our Nokia N76 review unit suggests that 3G data is highly recommended, but we somehow suspect we’ll still manage to sink our productivity to record lows even on crappy EDGE. Hit up m.youtube.com to check it out; we’ll be on the couch with our eyes glued to our phones if you need us.
As many of you might have noticed, yesterday afternoon, the Plumber returned– Bloglines experienced some downtime. The team has been looking into the situation and has attributed the root cause to multiple machine hardware failure due to human error.
As people who not only work on Bloglines, but use Bloglines, you can be assured that we’re monitoring the situation closely and will put improvements in place to prevent downtime in the future.
There is always a backlash against anyone calling anything the Web OS, mainly because, as folks point out quite accurately, the term "operating system" technically applies to the stack on top of PC hardware that interfaces between that hardware and a user's intentions. Here's an example of what I mean - A Web OS? Are You Dense? In this story, the author, who I don't know but I certainly do respect, gives Arrington a ton of shit for "not knowing anything about computers." Well, color me dense because, yes, in fact, there is a Web OS, and it will be built on top of the Windows/Mac/PC OS, and that's just fine with me, because I could care less about technical purist theories of what an OS is. I don't care if it's built on top of Windows, which is a "classic OS". In fact, Windows, as I recall, was built on top of DOS for most of its career, so what does that make Windows? Not an OS? And DOS was built on top of some arcane machine language, I am sure. And we can keep dancing on the head of definitional pins, but to me....
To me, operating systems are computer-mediated realities that help us get stuff done. And to my mind, that makes Chrome an OS. A system that lets me operate sh*t. End of story.
Interesting. Well, I guess there is a difference between the old Touch and the new Touch — although Apple’s been mum about it. The chip iFixit found supports Bluetooth 2.1+EDR+FM. What do you think, people? Secret ripoff or secret surprise? Reminds me of the secret 3G in Dell Inspiron Minis.
[Thanks for the tip, Staguave!]
